A niche site seems basic, and it is, but it needs several basic things to make it effective.
1. original content: Avoiding google picking up and penalizing for any duplicate content.
2. frequently updated content: if you want the site do well, it needs to be a dynamic site – static sites will soon get buried, even if you start out well.
3. highly relevant content: needless to say – that’s what a niche site is all about, after all
4. a custom domain that is keyword rich and targeted
5. site design should be focused on getting from hit to contact (in other words, designed to maximize each lead)
6. site needs the search engine optimization basics
7. down the road, if you keep the content updated, you can break into social networking marketing with it, and take it to the next level – it’ll be largely dependent on items 1-3
That’s it. Again, the list is simple, because niche sites are simple. These are the core. Depending on the marketing plan involved, the list could go in other directions, but it must begin with these.
